Quality Puppies

Our Aussies have a proven track record in companion, herding and agility homes! Our puppies are raised to be awesome family pets, as well as talented working dogs!

Ranch Raised
Our dogs are NOT kennel dogs. They are raised with the freedom to explore hundreds of acres on our working cattle ranch. Our puppies grow up getting to run, play, swim in the ponds and enjoy life. Resulting in a well socialized, confident puppy. Our breeding dogs are our beloved pets, companions and working partners first and foremost! This is why our kennel is small and we only offer a maximum of 2 litters total a year.

Veterinarian Owned & Operated

Dr. Lora Bledsoe's experience within the veterinary field ensures that all our puppies are exceptionally healthy and well cared for with both sound minds and bodies.

History of Frying Pan Ranch

Frying Pan Ranch was founded in 1918 on the high plains of Eastern Colorado. The tradition continues today through the 4th generation of the Bledsoe family that prides itself on superior breeding of Australian Shepherds, Red Angus Cattle and Quarter Horses. Celebrating its 100 year anniversary in 2018, the Bledsoe family is dedicated to continued growth and keeping the operation alive for many generations to come.

Dr. Lora Bledsoe
Dr. Bledsoe first fell in love with the Australian Shepherd breed after moving to Colorado for college. She adopted her first Aussie, Paisley, soon after.
Paisley was Dr. Bledsoe's companion through all of the 8 years she spent at college and veterinary school at Colorado State University.
After moving out to Eastern Colorado to marry her husband, James (also an Aussie lover), the dogs and the breeding program flourished.
Dr. Bledsoe is passionate about staying true to the origins of the Australian Shepherd breed. Using genetic lines that have proven their talents as both stock dogs and companions is what gives Frying Pan Ranch puppies a strong mind and an even temperament. Raising the pups in a ranch environment establishes proper brain and social development.
Dr. Bledsoe hopes to continue to help build the breed she loves for many years to come.
